Abstrak

Android is an operating system that is widely used in smartphones. Smartphone as a current technology that is often used by various age of groups can be also used for variety of needs such as simplifying human work itself with the available applications. The manager of the SMK Immanuel 1 canteen still uses the manual method of collecting data and calculating profits. The research method used is descriptive research method. Data collection techniques used are the study of literature that includes research reports, scientific journals, theses, e- books downloaded from the internet, as well as written sources both print and electronic and make observations on research objects. The research variable is the design level of goods data collection application and profit calculation. The system analysis and design technique used by the writer is object-oriented technique with a modeling tool in the form of a Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagram. In the making of this application the the system development use is Android Studio while as a database using Firebase. This application can collect data by manual input or use a scan of the barcode from the product. User can view records of items that have been recorded such as quantity, total price, and date of payment so user can easily check items that have been purchased. This application can calculate the per pieces capital of items so that the user can determine the selling price of items much easier as well as calculating the per carton profit of items.   Keywords: Android, profit calculation, data collection, applications, smartphones
