PERANCANGAN APLIKASI KAMUS BAHASA LIO– BAHASA INDONESIA BERBASIS ANDROID
Abstrak
Language is an arbitrary sound symbol system. According to society, language is used to identify themselves. In addition, language is used by the community to work together and communicate. As a system, language is formed by certain rules, rules, or patterns, both in the fields of sound, speech, and sentence. If the rules, rules, or patterns are violated, communication can be disrupted. Regional languages or regional languages are languages spoken in an area in a sovereign state, that is in a small region, federal state, province, or wider territory. On the other hand, regional languages are the wealth of a society. Lio is one of the many regional languages in Indonesia which is linguistically included in the large Austronesian language family, more specifically in the study of nine languages in Flores into that family. This language is spoken by a small group of tribes who call themselves the ende lio. This tribe inhabits most areas of Ende Regency. Android is a Linux-based operating system that is used for cellular phones (mobile), such as smartphones (smartphones) and tablet computers (PDAs). So that local languages are not extinct, documentation of regional languages must be done, one of them through the Android application. The author uses descriptive research design as a research design, and data collection methods used are interview, observation, and literature study methods. Analysis and system design techniques used are object-oriented techniques with Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling, and database design with MySQL. This research resulted in an interactive Lio-Indonesian dictionary application, where users can hear the pronunciation of words directly in Lio. The conclusion obtained is that it makes it easier for users to pronounce each word in Lio because it is accompanied by the sound of its pronunciation and helps preserve the Lio Language so it is not extinct. Suggestions that can be done next is to develop the pronunciation of the user and match it whether it is correct or not, can receive input in the form of a conversation, and can be accompanied by a tutorial video conversation.
