PERANCANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS OBJEK PARIWISATA PADA KOTA PONTIANAK

Abstrak

The lack of clear information about tourism objects in Pontianak City can be an obstacle for tourists in planning a visit to Pontianak City. This can reduce the satisfaction of the tourist experience, as well as limit the potential growth of the tourism industry in Pontianak City. With a geographic information system, it can make it easier for tourists to find and visit tourist objects while exploring Pontianak City. Through GIS, tourists can also provide complete and interesting information so that they can provide a pleasant experience while in Pontianak City. Researchers used descriptive methods as the research design. The data collection methods used are observation, documentation, and literature study. The system analysis and design technique used is Unified Modeling Language (UML). The application used in designing a website-based geographic information system is Visual Studio Code, and the database used is MYSQL. The final results of the research produced a web-based geographical information system for Pontianak City tourism objects which makes it easier for tourists to find complete information regarding directions to tourist attractions. The conclusion obtained from this research is a Web-Based Geographic Information System for Pontianak City Tourism Objects. Researchers hope that this geographic information system will be able to increase the number of tourists who come and introduce tourism objects in Pontianak City.
