RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM INFORMASI PENJUALAN DESKTOP PADA TOKO SEDERHANA

Abstract

Toko Sederhana, which sells essential goods such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, eggs, and so on, still relies on manual recording for sales, purchases, and inventory management. This increases the risk of calculation errors since the data must be analyzed manually, which can lead to losses. Moreover, stock items often go unnoticed when they run out until manual checks are conducted or until customers want to buy an item that is unavailable, making inventory management inefficient. To address this issue, the researchers aim to build a desktop-based sales information system for Toko Sederhana that can automatically record purchase and sales data and generate reports more quickly and accurately. The research methods used include interviews, observation, and literature study, while the system analysis and design techniques utilize an object-oriented approach with Unified Modelling Language (UML) modeling. The system was developed using Visual Studio 2019 and MySQL as the database, with report generation using Crystal Report. The result is a desktop-based sales application that can help the owner of Toko Sederhana make more strategic decisions and improve the store’s operational efficiency. With this application, the process of managing sales, purchases, and inventory data becomes more structured, reducing the risk of errors, and supporting improved business performance..
