Abstract

One form of education that is important for early childhood is education. At an early age, education can be done using fun and interactive methods such as educational games. One of the problems faced in color filling education is the different development processes of children. Children aged 3-4 years can begin to group objects based on basic colors, while children aged 5 years begin to understand the concept of color nuances. Based on these problems, in this research an educational game application was built that can help children learn to fill in pictures with color. This research uses an object-oriented approach and modeling using Unified Modeling Language (UML). This modeling aims to make it easier to design the system structure, user interaction flow, and relationships between components. The application is designed using Android Studio and SQLite database, and is available in 5 difficulty levels. The data used in this research were 12 color samples with 5 image examples. The result of this research is an educational game application that can help users, especially children, increase their understanding of color concepts in a fun way. Testing of this application was carried out using the black box testing method to ensure that the features of the application run as designed. This research succeeded in developing an Android-based color hunting game application and offers an educational, interactive and fun playing experience.
