RANCANG BANGUN APLIKASI PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS ANDROID BAHASA INGGRIS DENGAN FITUR SPEECH RECOGNITION

Abstract

Improving English language proficiency is crucial in today's era of globalization. In an effort to facilitate English language learning, the use of technology has proven to be an effective tool. This research aimsto design a basic English language learning application with a focus on pronunciation, based on the Androidplatform. The application is designed based on data collected through observational studies conducted among agroup of students and the general public who are learning English and the challenges they face in pronouncing words and sentences in English. The application is designed to be accessible to users with smartphones running Android version 6.0 and above. Based on the test results, the English language learning application with a focuson pronunciation has performed well. Additionally, users have expressed that the interaction and feedbackprovided by the application are helpful in improving their pronunciation. By using this application, users areexpected to be able to learn English more easily and effectively, while enhancing their overall pronunciationskills.
