PERANCANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI MANAJEMEN PENJUALAN BERBASIS SERVER-CLIENT PADA TOKO BELITANG JAYA

Abstract

All aspects of social life continue to develop over time, especially technology, which is currentlydeveloping very rapidly. Information technology is widely used in various fields of society because it isconsidered to be able to help human work more effectively and efficiently. Toko Belitang Jaya is one of thebusiness actors who still uses conventional systems in managing their business, so they often experiencediscrepancies between records and actual conditions. Based on these problems, the authors built a desktop-basedsales management information system that can assist in the process of inputting, processing, storing data, so thatit becomes output in the form of information that is ready for use. The method of data collection was carried outby interview method, observation method, and literature study method. System analysis and design techniques are object-oriented techniques with Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling. The system design application uses Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, Crystal Report, and MySQL as the database. Based on this research, it canbe concluded that with the existence of a desktop-based sales management information system at the BelitangJaya Store which is computerized, it is hoped that it can improve service to buyers, and be able to accommodateall transaction activities so as to produce the required output effectively and efficiently. The advice given for thesystem is to make reports have advanced features such as graphs or statistics and can be accessed online. Keywords: Design, Desktop, System, Information, Inventory, Sales
