Abstract

The UPTD Puskesmas Merakai is a Technical Implementation Unit of the Dinas Kesehatan Sintang District which is responsible for organizing health development in its working area. As the organizer of health development, the Puskesmas is responsible for organizing individual health efforts and public health efforts, which are viewed from the National Health System as the first level of health services. So far, the services at the Puskesmas Merakai have not been effective. The Puskesmas service system includes patient registration with the procedure for patients coming directly to the puskesmas to register manually by submitting a patient card. With this application, it is easier for people to register and get information about the world of health by using a smartphone. The application is designed using a sequential searching algorithm. The research used data collection methods with interviews, and literature studies. The analytical technique used is the Unified Modeling Language (UML) in modeling the system. In designing the database, the researcher uses MySQL, and Android Studio as an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) to design applications. This study resulted in an online registration application using the Android-based Sequential Search method. This application has features to register consultations, manage queues, seek registration, confirm registration, register for applications, Manage HR, Manage consultations, and Manage user profiles. This application also provides a special login menu for users which includes patients, nurses, registration, and admin. From the whole research process, it can be concluded that with this Android-based online registration application, it is expected to be able to overcome and minimize problems that occur during the registration process and management of patient treatment consultations at the Puskesmas Merakai. In addition, system development is still needed to be able to back up patient data and registration. Keywords: Puskesmas, Sequential Searching, Android, Consultation, Registration
