Abstract

Learning using the simulation method is a more interesting learning because with the visual appearance. The research design used by the author is the research design of causal relationships (experimental), the authors conducted experiments and testing of learning algorithm search applications with linear search methods, binary search methods, and interpolation search methods. The technique of analysis and system design used is object oriented technique with modeling tool diagram Unified Modeling Language (UML), while programming language used in designing application is Microsoft Visual Basic .NET 2010. The results achieved from this research is an application of search algorithm with linear search method, binary search method, and interpolation search method used to search data on a set of data that contains numbers and explain the work process of a search algorithm to be easily understood by users. Based on the results of the design of learning algorithm search applications, the authors concluded that the learning application search algorithm used to find data on a set of data numbers and understanding of the work process of a search. The suggestions provided by the author is the addition of the process of measuring speed in the search, processing data in addition to numbers. Keywords: search, learning, linear search, binary search, interpolation search
