PERANCANGAN APLIKASI SISTEM TRACER STUDY PADA STMIK WIDYA DHARMA PONTIANAK BERBASIS WEB

Abstract

Tracer study serves as an important tool in universities because it can provide information for the improvement of university development in the future. STMIK Widya Dharma Pontianak still difficulties in carrying out tracer study, especially contacting alumni, designing/developing questionnaires, and input data manually into the database. In this research, data collection techniques used were literature studies related to tracer study, and web programming, observation, and interviews. The tool which used to model the designed system is the Unified Modeling Language (UML). This research resulted in the application of tracer study system based on web which facilitate the process of tracer study from developing questionnaire and news as desired, completion of questionnaires that can be done anytime and anywhere, tracer study results displayed in realtime, and display search data according to selected criteria. The conclusion from this research is media website can save expense and time in tracer study implementation, alumni can monitor other alumni data information directly, and provide valuable information for STMIK Widya Dharma development, and provide data for  company, lecturers, institute institutions and parents. Keywords: Tracer Study, Application, Model-View-Controller, Website
