Abstract

Processing many complex data manually or using the computer modestly cannot meet the enterprise information need. Processing business data using information technology are an alternate way to establish work flexibility to achieving goals for the enterprise. In this research, computerization in data processing has adapted to current Laris store’s data processing system with correction of the current system weakness. Author use descriptive research design as research method, then use observation method, literature study method and interview the store's authorized person to collect author's need data. The current system is modeled with unified modeling language to analyze the problems. Designing and implementing the proposed system with Visual Basic 6.0 programming language, and use Microsoft Access 2007 to design a database. The result of this research is using database to accommodate manually processed data and then use it as data source to generate reports for owner. The conclusion of this research is the computerized data processing will give positive contributions in the drug store development and restore the owner role as a strategic planner who responsible to succeed the store. The author's suggestion is should be held a using system training to maximize system usage, and also should do system maintenance periodically.
