To play suitable musical instruments that produce tone and rhythm, basically it requires notation and musical scale. Notation is a symbol that exists in music to produce sound with certain tones. Therefore, the author entitled this research as “The Application Design Learning of Notation and Musical Scale Using Partitur-Based Android”. This application is designed to give the easiness for the Android users who want to learn about musical scale using numeral and block notations with their properly partitur. The author was using the causal relation design research which is the method conducted by the author to implement observation and examination toward the application through learning the literatures related to the materials of Android-based application design and also examine the application itself in any certain Android gadgets with different specifications. The technical analysis system that used during this research preparation is object oriented and the method of Unified Modeling Language (UML) to describe the designed application as well. During designing the application, the author using Java Eclipse programming language in Luna version. The research was conducted to simplify the process of understanding, recognizing, and memorizing all the forms of tone notations to be more efficient, fast, and easy understanding through designing the educative and interesting application. The summary that gotten through the analysis result is that the application successfully able to simplify the process of understanding, recognizing, and memorizing the forms of tone notations so that the process could be more efficient, fast, and easy understanding through designing the educative and interesting application especially for children who want to learn about musical scale and notation.
