PERANCANGAN PERANGKAT LUNAK PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA ISYARAT UNTUK BERKOMUNIKASI DENGAN TUNARUNGU

Abstract

This study aims to make sign language learning software to communicate with the hearing impaired computerized, specifically the software is expected to facilitate users in learning sign language to communicate with the hearing impairment, and can help users understand sign language, add new insights or knowledge. The author uses the design of causal relationships (experimental) that is the authors doing experiments and testing of software in accordance with the existing literature. The design of sign language learning software to communicate with hearing impairment using Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling to analyze system, Microsoft Visual Basic programming language. Net 2010 and MySQL databases. Sign language learning software to communicate with hearing impairment designed to help users understand in accordance with sign language. . Sign language learning software to communicate with hearing impairment also supports vocabulary editing process in case of errors in vocabulary writing. Communication software with hearing impaired also allows users to view the history of accessing the vocabulary that has been used. The conclusion obtained is that the time required to learn sign language using sign language learning software to communicate with hearing impairment is shorter than having to read sign language book  manually.
