Abstract

Decision Support System (DSS) is a system used to assist in handling a decision in choosing better decisions. Smartphones as they develop into primary needs with very modern criteria that make it difficult for users to search for smartphones that best fit the user's criteria. To determine the selection of the best smartphone, many of the criteria used as the assessment of this election. One method of decision-making system in determining issues involving multi criteria is by Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. Therefore, the authors make the decision support system of smartphone selection using Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. In the preparation of this thesis, the author uses a causal relationship research design (experimental), the authors conducted experiments and testing of applications created and studied literature and writing that have to do with the problem under study. The technique of system analysis used is object oriented analysis technique. In describing the application workflow using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling technique. In designing the author system using Microsoft Visual Basic.NET application. The conclusion of the analysis results is the decision support system can be used to help perform the assessment and can be used as input for the user in making decisions election of a decent smartphone to be the best.
