RANCANGAN SISTEM PENDUKUNG KEPUTUSAN PEMILIHAN RUMAH MAKAN PADANG MENGGUNAKAN METODE TOPSIS
Abstract
Choosing a Padang restaurant is becoming increasingly challenging with the rapid growth of the culinary industry. Various Padang restaurants with diverse flavors, menus and services make it difficult for users to make the right choice according to their needs. Therefore, this study aims to design a Web-based Decision Support System (SPK) to determine users in choosing Padang restaurants using the Technique for Order of Prefence by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method. Database design uses MySQL, while website-based application development uses Visual Studio Code with HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and Bootstrap as CSS frameworks. This research produces a decision support system design that can help in the selection of Padang restaurants according to the criteria. The TOPSIS method was chosen because it was able to overcome the complexity in choosing a Padang restaurant by taking into account several important attributes such as price, taste, comfort of the place, service, ease of access to the location, menu variants, and ratings. The system will then use the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method to perform calculations and provide recommendations for the most suitable rumsh eating padang according to the predetermined criteria. The conclusion of this study is that the existence of a decision support system for choosing a Padang restaurant can help users in making decisions quickly and easily. The author's suggestion is that this system is built to help users make more precise and efficient decisions in choosing a Padang restaurant.
