RANCANG BANGUN APLIKASI PARIWISATA KOTA SINGKAWANG MENGGUNAKAN LBS (LOCATION BASED SERVICE)

Abstract

Traveling is an activity that is loved by many people or also known as travelers. Information about traveling is very important, therefore the information must be accurate and complete. Singkawang City is one of the cities in West Kalimantan that has a lot of tourism potential. Singkawang City is known as a tourist destination that is usually visited by tourists or travelers from big cities. As a city that has many tourism destinations, such as nature tourism, culinary tourism, and historical tourism. However, not all places in Singkawang City are well known by tourists who want to visit due to lack of information. So an application is needed to facilitate tourists in Singkawang city tourism information. This SKWTour application was built using the Java programming language with Android Studio and uses Google Maps Api to display maps and routes from a place, using the Location Based Service (LBS) method or commonly referred to as the Global Positioning System (GPS) to find out the position of the User at that time. This research produces applications that can process tourist information in the city of Singkawang.
