PEMANFAATAN IOT DALAM SISTEM AKSES PINTU MENGGUNAKAN KARTU PADA GITA KOST
Abstract
The rapid development of technology, especially in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT), has had a significant impact on daily life, including door access systems. This study aims to implement an IoT-based door access system using Arduino at Gita Kost, an accommodation that currently still uses manual keys. This new system is expected to increase efficiency, security, and convenience for its residents. Gita Kost, located in Pontianak, faces several issues with the use of manual keys, such as longer time to open the door, risk of key damage, and potential key loss. To address these issues, a door locking system using smart cards and electronic sensors operated through an Arduino microcontroller is implemented. This system allows the door to be opened automatically when the smart card is brought close to the sensor, replacing the need for manual keys. The implementation of this system not only facilitates access for kost residents but also enhances security by reducing the risk of lost and damaged keys. Furthermore, this system can improve the efficiency of accommodation management by providing a more modern and practical way of accessing kost rooms. This study concludes that the use of IoT and Arduino technology in door access systems provides an effective and innovative solution for access management at Gita Kost.
