Abstract

Guppy fish keeping has become a popular hobby due to their beauty, with increasing public interest in these ornamental fish. The main key to maintaining the health of Guppy fish in an aquarium is good water quality. Water quality can decrease due to unmanaged food waste and fish waste, resulting in fish health problems. This
research develops an Internet of Things (IoT) based water quality control and monitoring system for Guppy fish aquariums using four main sensors, namely temperature, pH, oxygen flow and turbidity. This system regulates temperature through a heater and fan, pH using an acid and alkaline solution pump, as well as turbidity and water flow using an aeration pump and filter. An experimental research design was implemented, with data collection through interviews, direct observation and literature study. Test results show that the system is effective in providing accurate measurements and an intuitive user interface, enabling real-time monitoring and regulation of aquarium conditions. Although the system shows its reliability in carrying out control and monitoring, dependence on an internet connection affects the system's functionality. System has succeeded in modernize Guppy aquarium management and water quality monitoring can be carried out more efficiently and effectively.
