Hambatan dan Tantangan Program Studi Kewirausahaan di Wilayah Perbatasan

Abstract

Enterpreneurship Program of Shanti Bhuana’s High School of Management, i.e. STIM-SB, is the first new course in Bengkayang, by border of the Sarawak State. This new program of study has a series of obstacles and challenges. Academic facilities for learning process need to be enriched. There is a lack of industrial premises that can support students’ skill of enterpreneuship. The academic backgound of the students is still low. The importance of formal education is not yet highly appreciated. A big number of the alumni of Senior High School of Bengkayang do not continue their studies at universitarian level. They tend to make money by working. Such a situation will influence much the development of Enterpreneurship Program of this High School in the future. This essay will research the concrete situation of the society that will be challenges and opportunity for this program of study to make progress in the future.
