PERANCANGAN APLIKASI WD MESSENGER BERBASIS ANDROID DI STMIK WIDYA DHARMA PONTIANAK MENGGUNAKAN REACT NATIVE

Abstract

Communication between lecturers and students is common in the scope of high school. Access to academic information is also a common activity in high school. But communication and access to academic information is still limited to the scope of the campus. In particular in STMIK Widya Dharma Pontianak, therefore, this research aims to design an Android-based messenger application that is online. So it can optimize communication between lecturers and students and access academic information at STMIK Widya Dharma Pontianak. The authors use descriptive research design as research draft. The data collection techniques used are literary study methods that include scientific books, scientific journals, and published sources in various media. The system analysis techniques used are object-oriented techniques with Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling. The application design techniques used are mobile programming with the React Native and Firebase frameworks for managing application databases. The results that are achieved are messenger applications that can help lecturers and students in communication with the chat feature and access schedule information and academic value for students when they are not in the scope of the campus. The author also advises that managed academic information be more thorough to the lecturers and secretariat.
