Abstract

Along with the rapid development of technology, it is important to improve marketing and service, in order to attract customers and overcome competition between similar companies engaged in the same field, an information system for ordering and selling goods is needed that is useful for increasing sales, service and marketing wider scope and to manage sales transaction data on web-based PO Millennium 2000. The research method used in this study uses qualitative methods. Data collection techniques were carried out by interview, observation and literature study. The research uses object-oriented techniques in analyzing and designing systems. From this research resulted in a web-based ordering information system and sales transactions that are used by business owners as another medium for ordering goods and the ease of processing sales transactions and it can be concluded that the existence of an information system makes it easier for consumers to order goods and provide detailed product information and generate reports for companies which provides effective and efficient information about sales and inventory from data that has been well managed by the system.
