PERANCANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI ADMINISTRASI PADA PO WESTCOM

Abstract

PO Westcom is a company engaged in the trading business computer. Because sales are growing each day as well as a diverse number of items it is necessary to have a system that can provide convenience for the user to carry out any business activities. The study design used by the author is a causal relationship research design, where the data collected is understood and analyzed. The author uses descriptive method, interview and literature study. For data analysis techniques, the authors use the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Microsoft Visual FoxPro 9.0 as engineering design systems. By using administrative information system has been computerized, PO Westcom will find it easy to do any transactions there. Head of the company can obtain the reports up to date directly from the system. The report can serve as consideration for the leadership of the company to make decisions that are beneficial to the smooth PO Westcom business. Based on research by the author, it can be concluded that the effectiveness and efficiency of the company can still be improved, one way is to use a computerized information system administration and to provide data that is more accurate than manual administration system. Advice from the authors is the use of a computerized system has many advantages but also required a huge cost and maintenance as well as training for employees to use them appropriately, so as to provide the expected results.
