PENGEMBANGAN APLIKASI PERANGKAT LUNAK COMPUTER ASSISTED INSTRUCTION (CAI) PADA STMIK WIDYA DHARMA PONTIANAK

Abstract

In the field of education, change-based information and communication technology has influenced the way people view and way of thinking. Communities faced with a change-based computer technology, especially information technology, in which the delivery and an understanding of the key information in order to advance the community itself. School of Information Management and Computers (STMIK) Widya Dharma Pontianak has a vision to computer education center that emphasizes the benefits of information systems and informatics-based engineering to information technology and entrepreneurship, high commitment to quality and global perspective. This is where the role computer technology is as a medium that can help the learning process, one of which is the teaching of information systems with computer-assisted learning or Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) is used to deliver material to students, through direct interaction between students with material that is programmed into the computer. This research on the design of Computer Assisted Instruction application (CAI) on STMIK Widya Dharma Pontianak, application development is still limited in its application for the course in the Database Systems courses in semester II informatics management STMIK Widya Dharma Pontianak, it was likely to be developed on other subjects. Development of Computer Assisted Instruction application (CAI) can produce results in a supporting medium of learning in the transformation of information and knowledge, with an application software Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) in STMIK Widya Dharma Pontianak used in material processing, visualization and delivery of content in this tutorial so as to assist students in understanding the material presented by the lecturers.
